The night of Museums
The idea of going to a museum at night has a special attraction: instead of the typical mandatory school excursion is transformed into a mysterious realm to explore.
The origin of the Night of Museums dates back to 1997. Now, with the support of the Council of Europe and UNESCO, and includes more than 4,000 museums in 40 countries. Last year, 81 Barcelona museums opened their doors for free from 19:30 to 1:00, from the most famous museums in the city-the MNAC, the Picasso Museum and the MACBA to new additions such as the Design Museum.
